Spent a splendid slice of the afternoon with civic activist Shudde Fath, who turns 100 on Monday.
Fath has been involved with almost every good cause since the New Deal. She’s best known for having served on the Electric Utility Commission since its start and for being a steadfast champion of rate fairness.
The commission, by the way, meets in the Shudde Fath Room. Nice touch. She still serves. Expect a big profile online Monday and in print on Thursday, written in collaboration with reporter Marty Toohey.
